Allison {milestone session}

I hate to admit it, but sometimes I forget to take photos for me. When my daughter pointed out her picture on the wall a few weeks ago and called herself “Baby Alli,” I knew it was time for an update. The photo she was referring to is only a year old, but I can’t believe how much she’s changed since then.

To mark her 2.5-year-old milestone, I wanted to find the perfect outfit. Then I stumbled onto Cillerenda’s Princess Coutour’s Facebook page and fell in love with all of her gorgeous hats and hair goodies. I ordered a few things and planned to put together an outfit around it. Lightning struck twice when I found an awesome pair of purple polkadot shoes on clearance at Old Navy. Only FIVE BUCKS! Score! I also snagged an adorable white skirt and paired it with purple tank from Target that Allison had in her dresser at home.

The accessories definitely made the look, and Alli and I had an awesome time. Not suprisingly, she was very excited to dress up and get her photos taken. We even made a stop on the way to show her best friend her “princess outfit.”

If you love the hair clips and hat, you can find them here. (You might even recognize a photo or two on the website.) And when Allison outgrows hers, they will join the prop closet in my studio for anyone to use.

Here are some of my favorites from our outing. Now I just need to decide which one to order in a huge canvas gallery wrap. THAT, my friends, is the hardest part.

    Wow, that’s SO hard to chose! My favorite is the one of her sitting on the chair in the field, but close second is the one where she’s kicking up her leg. I can’t believe she’s so big! I also can’t believe I’ve been following your blogging for so many years, haha 🙂 Great work, Kelly!

    OH Kelly, these are gorgeous! I too love the one where she’s kicking her little polka-dotted shoe up in the air. The first black and white one is pretty stunning, too. NICE!

    My favorites are the one where she’s sitting in the chair among the wildflowers, and the one where she has one of her legs popped up. These photos are stunning! I love the scenery.
